The third edition of the book Expo (World's Fair) by Seyed Hossein Mir-Zafarjuyan has been published with new revisions.
According to Akhbar-e Namayeshgah-ha (Exhibition News), the book Expo (World Expo)—authored by Seyed Hossein Mir-Zafarjuyan, a university lecturer and prominent expert in the exhibition industry—provides a specialized analysis of World Expos. Beyond defining various types of exhibitions from economic, political, and cultural perspectives, the book covers the history of Expos, participation procedures, schedules and required activities, and space selection. It also chronicles the evolution of Expos from their inception through the establishment of the BIE (Bureau International des Expositions) up to the Osaka Expo 2025.

Exhibitions serve as an ideal platform for fostering interaction between a nation's industrial, commercial, and cultural sectors and the countries participating in Expos, thereby facilitating the achievement of significant economic objectives. Through their participation in Expos, many nations have reaped economic, political, and cultural benefits that are unparalleled by other economic or cultural events. However, despite Iran's participation in several Expos both before and after the Revolution, there has been a lack of extensive activity regarding the promotion of these events across media, print, and academic channels.
This newly revised (third) edition of the book *Expo (World Exhibition)* is authored by an expert with extensive experience in the exhibition sector—having played an active and influential role in the Expos held in Lisbon (1998), Hanover (2000), Aichi (2005), Shanghai (2010), Milan (2015), Astana (2017), and Dubai (2020), all of which saw Iranian participation. In this 2021 edition, alongside revisions to existing content, the author has added sections covering the Expos in Astana (2017), Dubai (2020), Doha (2023), and Osaka (2025), as well as detailed accounts of Iran’s pavilions at the two most recent Expos. The book serves as a valuable resource and guide in this field, effectively meeting the needs of researchers, students, policymakers, and professionals involved in the exhibition industry.
Reading this book is highly recommended for all enthusiasts of the exhibition industry, students and researchers in the field, companies organizing domestic and international exhibitions, active industry centers across the country, and exhibition participants. Having this book in your library is recommended as a valuable reference for global exhibitions.
